Hello

It would be really quite convenient if the 'Dir' option within the 'Get File Path' action would simply be the name of the containing folder of the file(s), much like the 'Filename' option, rather than the complete path, as that is already provided by the 'Path' option (with the addition of a backslash). In fact being able to separate a file path's directory structure into it's component folders would be a real time saver.

Currently having to use regex for the task slows things down considerably. I mainly use this feature for operations that require moving and creating new files and folders. And for obviously reasons, using the 'Open File/Folder Dialog' action in an automated script will not do.

The problem is what value do you expect when a file is more then one folder deep.
Like c:\folder1\subfolder1\afile.txt

Do you expect \subfolder1 or \folder1\subfolder1 as value?

The regex will give you control on that.

Thanks for the prompt reply DS.....Just at the immediate subdirectory level would do - the folder containing the target file(s). I would imagine that involving all the other folder hierarchies could get somewhat complicated.

We have put the request on the development list.
Thanks
