Hi

I'm not sure whether this is possible with Djuggler, but any suugestions or comments would be appreciated.

I have a scenario where through a batch processs, CD disc images (ISO) are being progressively written to a folder. Once all the images have been successfully written to the folder (and not before), I would automatically like another process to occur which entails the use of Djuggler scripting to co-ordinate.

Is there a way with Djuggler to monitor this folder and automatically proceed to this task only when ALL of the CD disc images have been finally written to the folder?

I thought that if there was an action similar to 'Get File Information' but that only related to folder info size etc, it would be quite easy to script. As I am never quite sure how many disc images will be successfully written to the folder, its harder to make quantative measurements that may be useful to test variables and take the next step.

Hi,

Djuggler is not a folder monitor, however you can create a script with a Loop that reads the file in a folder and keep this loop running.

In the loop you typically check for a new file, you can even check it's size and wait 2 seconds and check it's size again to make sure it has been completely written en then do your action and mark it as processed in a grid.

Another option is to purchase typical folder monitor software that can launch an external process and launch a Djuggler compiled script as process. You can even give parameters to the Djuggler script with the Get Parameter action for the file name to process for example.

Hope this helps.
